The biggest at fault is Verizon. Why can't they be like other carriers and announce release dates ahead of time? No, instead they wait til after it's already online for preorder or 2 days before official release.

The whole secrecy nonsense is just really, really silly. Like it would only please us who really want the phone and help drum up interest in the people who don't even know about it, if they just would clue people into their expected release dates for stuff like this. I mean, if they gave an expected date of May something and then said it being pushed back to improve this or that, give us the new target date (I'm sure a company such as this has one for all products). It doesn't have to work out being perfect, but clue us into the process and it just builds a better relationship. no?
All this means is that one specific accessory from one manufacturer for a third party retailer won't be available until 8/20. Nothing at all to lose hope over.
totally. it's like they and moto are taking a page out of the Apple marketing book. let fans build up speculation and hype, then drop the product. hopefully, unlike Apple products, this will be worth the frustration.

I ended up getting one of these too.
For only $3.23 each when QTY 50+ purchased - 6inch 34AWG High Speed w/ Ethernet Micro-HDMI Male (Type D) to HDMI Female (Type A) Adapter Cable - Black | HDMI Port Saver
I already have some very lengthy HDMI cables and this would allow me to just use those. Dont get me wrong, I got the 15 foot new one as well, but i dont always like dragging a long cable with me. The little adapter is perfect.

I dont want to bust any bubbles but i read an earlier article that stated it was back to the drawing board for the bionic, supposedly when they tested one and aver night as the human slept that human discovered the next day that the bionic had been traveling thru the internet site after site on its own searching about humans and porn and just about everything else... so to much AI for now.. so i doubt you will see it anytime this year at all...
i do wish i had remembered where i read that but i scan so many sites in a 16 day plus time frame i cant remember.... sry but i read it ,,true or not i do not know,,, just treat this as anyother none true finding...

I don't know.. Just because there are misspellings doesn't necessarily mean these are fake. They are supposedly internal messages. Which would mean less eyes on them before they are sent out. So I'm still hopeful even though Kellex went back to saying 9/1. Though he did say that we could shoot him with paintballs if he's wrong!

I'm torn on how to feel. I think about some internal messaging programs and they don't have spell-check on them, so a common mispelling like receive could easily be spelled wrong. On the other hand I doubt that something would go out (even "internally") with so many spelling errors. When I produce something that is being sent corporation-wide it gets reviewed by 3 people before being submitted to a committee to review changes. Granted, it's a little different, but even a lesser level of review would catch some of these things.
Maybe. I'd bet they are quite aware. At the (larger) company I work at there is a specific department whose job it is to search the internet for negative publicity, no joke. That includes twitter, facebook, forums, websites, etc. I would not be surprised if there is at least a few people at Moto/VZW whose responsibility it is to track online "reputation". Whether that leads to an acknowledgement is a different story.
That seems like a valid point...if the 4G upgrade was correct, then maybe there's hope for this one being true as well, since they technically are the same leak?
I'm just hoping this is real so I don't have to wait much longer...I need a new phone before school starts again lol
I've been referred there before...I can say I haven't seen any cables of any sort cheaper anywhere else. And good quality.

Just a random thought: If I were a Verizon (or any big mobile phone company) insider I think I'd give out false release dates when asked just for the fun of it. I think it would be hilarious.

Guys it's clearly not going on preorder tonight or being released on the 4th. We would have heard something by now honestly. It's funny cause my wife and I met this guy while we were having lunch a few weeks ago and he over heard me say I'm waiting on the Bionic to my wife. Well he starts telling us he tested it and it was ok, but don't expect it until September do to a bunch of problems lol! Well I told my wife in the car the guys was bull**** and a weirdo! well looks like the guy might have been telling the truth.
Oh and now the Galaxy S2 will be out August with 4g LTE !! It really cannot get worse for Moto right now LOL!

i can make the same thing with microsoft works, to be honest.
it's fake. there is no way in hell it would be out, i was just in the store here and they have no dummys out yet, i even asked and they said they havn't heard of an august release date, but told me it will be ready by christmas, so, that could mean late november or early december.
i've really lost interest in this phone, it's been delayed so much, first they said march, then they said may, now they are saying august. yeah, i'm not holding my breath here.

The CEO already said Sept two days ago. So I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say ....its fake.
Just know that the delays werent about them twiddling their thumbs. Part of the delay was Moto decided to make their own LTE chip, probably after trying to use one from someone else and running into issues they felt they didnt have to deal with. I'm also taking a guess as thats why the Xoom doesnt have LTE yet too. Hope it was worth the delay ....
And I dont think its been confirmed the GS2 will have LTE.
