I was testing out Google Now, when I realized it looked nearly identical to the lock screen. So why not have the ability to launch apps you want quick access to, from anywhere, by just dragging up on the nav bar? Thoughts on this? I haven't seen anything mentioning such a feature. If someone already posted about it I apologize.

I know about swipepad, and it's fine, but I'm not talking about adding another thing to complicate the device. Swiping up on the navbar already launches Google Now. Why not just add to what already exists, and make the experience cleaner? Just my two cents.

Even as good as Google are, they still aren't Gods. They can't think of everything people may want. They listen to feedback.

Plus JB is the introduction to google now, they probably want to focus the attention on that before they add more to that space.

AOKP already has the option, you can set multiple custom shortcuts to the ring... I.e..
