Well in the latest ROM that i'm running, the only bugs are the fact that it asks you to sign into google after reboot again, and there are a few problems with HTC Widgets. Other than that, everything works great! Definitely faster than the original root and the 2.1 leak. I have not experienced any lag at all since using this new ROM. And of course you get the possibilities of root...such as deleting stock apps like VVM or Amazon MP3 Did I do it? You bet.

Is this the latest and greatest?

And you can't get the official OTA at the moment when it does come out? And Google Maps 4.1 included? Finally paid apps won't be able to access till official OTA comes out right?

dunno sounds to me that root 2.1 same as leaked one. root users having identical bugs to leaked one. leaked is also very fast compared to stock 1.5 also same problems as sign in Google after reboot and also the extra or new HTC sense widgets.

Yes that is. And about the official OTA, yes, you can get it when it comes out but you'll lose root. And you won't be able to get root again until they can figure it out for the official 2.1. Not sure what google maps 4.1 is, but I recently updated to the newest google maps without problem if thats what your referring to. And I'm not sure what you mean in the last part. I have paid apps on the root and I can buy apps too. Root 2.1 is not the same. The original root didn't have these problems, its the newest one. Don't ask me why, I dont know. I have personally used both root and leak, and yes leak is very fast compared to 1.5 but in my opinion root is faster.

I actually sent them an email as a new customer instead of existing on Monday but still no reply which is strange. I said I want to come to Verizon but I need 2.1 somewhere either the Droid or Eris and that I was going to go to ATT instead if they had no information.

And they haven't emailed you back? Maybe I should email them asking...see if I get a response.

Just leave them alone the people in charge of reading your spam emails are not the once in charge of the update i say we leave them alone till april first and if you dont get the update by then, then we spam the HELL OUT OF THEM IN TILL THERE SERVERS CRASH!!!!!!!!!

Both the updates to the Eris were OTA. But they weren't very big only a few MB if I remember correctly.
