I'm hoping it's this week. I watched some videos on the droid eris 2.1, and it looked awesome. So pumped.

Put it this way. If Verizon doesn't come through by April 1st - when the Incredible comes out - I will just use my early upgrade and get the Incredible. Why not the Nexus One? Because I like Sense UI

I here that. With the Nexus and The Incredible to choose from, why wait? I will say that the leaked 2.1 is very promising and I am looking forward to the official release.

now that the Droid 2.1 update is starting to roll out, please let's have the Eris update. It just bothers me a lot that Droid users have had 1.6+ forever and we're stuck on 1.5 and they're getting the update first.

The Droid was definitely Verizon's primary Android phone. If its true that 2.1 is being pushed out to the Droid, I think that's fantastic news for we Eris users. I was pretty convinced that the last thing that Verizon wanted (from a sales/marketing point of view) was to have the Droid at $199 in stores at Android 2.0.1 while the Eris at $79 was at 2.1.

Okay so originally we heard that the reason our update failed testing was an ota issue. Well the Droid is getting 2.1 ota, so what's the deal with the Eris? Is sense ui really that much trouble? Just wondering.

we're not really early adopters if you're talking to Eris users. It came out around the same time as the Droid.

Atleast we know we're getting the update, so with time and patience, we'll get it. I'm just as excited as the next person, so we just have to wait. Which is always the worst part.

Droid OS has nothing to so with Eris OS. idk why you would relate or compare them. They are tested separately with separate deadlines.
