I wonder how long it will be before google gets around to updating the market for the new release? It sucks that there are apps I have paid for under previous versions that I can't use now.

My guess is that there was no fire burning under Google to do this while the update was not official. Let's hope that they will take care of this when the upgrade gets pushed by Verizon Wireless.

Pay no attention to me... I was just rambling. Although, with the way things have been going for us Eris users, it wouldn't surprise me if our OS update got E-jacked and then became a prostitute in a strange country.

Was just referring to the number of rumors going around regarding OS 2.0 vs Eris. For all we know, by the time us Eris users receive the update, the Moto Droid should be getting 3.something. LOL

actually 2.2 is coming out for the nexus one and droid within the next couple months AND WE WILL HAVE ADOBE FLASH! But I am happy you guys are getting your update. You def deserve it 1.5 is way too outdated

Been using 2.1 v2 for a while now, used the Navigation function for the first time this weekend in Tampa to get back to a car rental place, it worked great. Looks like the GPS unit in my car at home is now jobless. Mount it in a cradle and keep it powered up for best results.

I went to my local Verizon store in Atlanta today and was speaking with one of the reps about the two Droids about to drop. He said that the Eris models they have and were trained on are all running Android 2.0 software with the full Google voice and navigation like the Moto Droid. This is different from everything I have seen with the Eris running Android 1.5. Anyone else heard this?

And about my earlier question about how long for google to open the store? Well, I see a ton of apps today on 2.1 (leak 3) that I didn't see yesterday. I got those apps that I paid for back too.
