My Battery life is much better after OTA! I actually got 13 hrs with 25% left when I got off work before putting it in the car mount, and using Navigation it went right to it, no searching for GPS!! No reboots have happened to me. I am happy with the update! Sorry others are having problems![]()
My Thunderbolt has the reboot issue since the update. And the battery is alot worse. I do have the extended battery but havent tryed it yet with the update. This is a really nice phone if HTC could just get the bugs fixed especially with the battery.
On days my battery life is bad, it is generally because one application is stuck syncing. Maybe the update broke an application or two, and the folks who are having bad battery life are the victims of those application problems?
I would not be a bit surprised if she was not looking at any notes at all when she told you that. That seems to be a standard reply when we are not pleased with something. They reply that HTC is looking into it, thus enabling them to get off the phone.:-\I just got off the phone with Verizon Customer Service regarding the battery life since the upgrade, and the representative told me she had received numerous calls about this and that there was actually a note in their system saying that HTC has begun investigating the issue.
She said the only two things that popped up in the system other than that were to purchase an extended battery or try a hard reset, but she said the reset was at my discretion and I may want to hold out and see what occurs from the investigation.
From what the representative told me ,it seems to be hit or miss on people having problems with the battery life, but she has gotten many more people complaining that the life has been atrocious instead of seeing no change or an improvement.
So, here's to hoping what the representative actually told me is true....and hopefully we'll hear something regarding this shortly. Has anyone else heard anything similar?
This phone is a joke as is Verizon and HTC, if it wasn't for the large screen I would have thrown mine against a wall. Now Verizon is sending me my second one because amongst the poor battery life it wont toggle between 4g and 3g, which means most of the time I get nothing. I am curious to see if the Droid Charge will be plagued with the same battery issues due to 4G. My guess is that Samsung already has addressed this and you can bet it will be a better phone.
Yesterday the day after I got OTA my battery life went down drastically. I had only 32% remaining at about 6:30 pm and I have not changed the way I use the phone, mainly moderate use throughout the course of a day. Before the update, around that same time, I had anywhere between 50% - 63% remaining. What has the update done to battery life? Also, now when using the LTE switch app, it takes forever for it to change from 3G to 4G, it seems to want to stay in 3G and I'm in a strong 4G footprint in Orlando FL.
