Post Photos Taken With Your M9!

Lol, and you still can't. I estimated around 2:00 he came off the charger. He also took the screenshot at 20%, so that is only in 45% usage time. It is estimated he would have gotten another 3 hours, so I think to say his 12 hours is fairly accurate. On a 100% charge, it would be roughly 18 hours. Bottom line, with his usage, that is good battery life. Better than what the other top phones are giving.

SMH.

You have to base battery stats from a 100% charge. You can`t base it after a bump charge in the middle of the battery cycle. Let me say this slower for you.

The chart starts are 100%.

Each tick down represents 10%.

Therefore 3.5 ticks down is 65% battery left.

Where the vertical axis intercept the horizontal portion on the chart represents the time at 65% charge which is roughly 1:00pm. He took it off the charger at 9:00am. That isn`t 12 hours.

12 hours would be 65% at 9:00pm.

Now if he means he used up 65% (35% battery left) of the charge in 12 hours that included a bump charge in the middle of the day. So what. That doesn't mean the battery life was great. Bottom line, you have to post a battery cycle without a charging cycle in it to mean anything.

Seriously?? You agree after the bump at around 1:00 he was at 65%. From that point on what was his battery usage like? He is emphasizing his usage from that point on, not for the whole day. From 1:00 pm when he was at 65% until roughly 1:00 am the next day, when he was at 20% and took the screenshot, that is 12 hours there. The chart then goes on to estimate that with the same usage pattern, his battery wound have went on to run out of life past 3:00 am, which would've been over 14 hours from the point he was at 65% at 1:00 pm. And no, you don't have to base it on 100% start, you can look at certain time block. You just have to look at the percentage lapsed and the amount and type of phone usage. His was with moderate usage for the the time frame he is emphasizing. Obviously, heavier usage would have been a shorter time period, whereas no usage would have made it last longer. This is why when people say they got two days out of 100% it doesn't impress me. That just means they laid their phone down and didn't use it at all. And back to the camera. All I had to do was learn to use it and it takes really nice photos for me. Not as nice as my wife's Note 4, but fairly comparable and in some instances, better. I found like the other poster trying to make a point here, if learn where to tap the screen with point and shoot, you can actually improve some photos, but that depends mainly on the composition of the photo. I find, it depends if you are trying to emphasize something within the photo or emphasize the entire photo itself. With tweaking some manual settings, you can definitely get some noticeable improvement. And this is without the latest update yet.

I find all the pics to be comparable. This is why I say, even though the M9 doesn't have the best camera, it is comparable and most users will be happy with it. Like I've said, it is close to my wife's Note 4 with the clearest advantage to her camera only in lowest light. Phone geeks like us on sites like this and writing articles like that will over emphasize the differences.

Fernandez, it's like you're in my head, buddy. Everything you said was on point with what I meant.

In regards to the Note 4 pics, I'm not sure if I mentioned it in the original posts, but I had a friend take the exact same Starbucks pictures I took with his Note 4, and I found the M9 pictures to be as good or better. I honestly thought the color was more realistic in the M9 pictures.

From the bump charge on he was barely using his phone. You can see from that screen shot that he used a lot of screen time before he bumped charged it, which is why it was draining so fast. The screen on time is basically a solid line. The battery life levels off once he isn't using the screen as much and then after the bump charge the on screen time is more intermittent and spread out hence the better battery life is better at that point.

Again, going by his battery life in the middle of a charging cycle and extrapolating anything doesn't make sense. Besides he says he had extreme power savings on, or does he not? Who knows. That basically turns it into a dumb phone and doesn't help others who rarely if ever use it.

This is his quote.

"I'm pretty happy with battery life too. Particularly with extreme saver. You can see here that I got over 12 hours with 65% battery. It was not my heaviest use day, but not bad at all, I think."

Look how long it took you to try to decipher what he wrote here? Not very clear is it. It would have been much clearer with a GSAM shot wouldn't it. Hence what I have been trying to say all along.

Here is a GSAM shot of my phone since yesterday afternoon. Notice how at the bottom right it says "since last unplugged". Simple isn't it. Now can you give this a rest already.

What!? It's the way I take all of my photos!

In fact looking at photos taken last week I'm sure that warning regards older software. How else is the main camera going to take fabulous selfies?

I actually find the tap to focus works better for me when I am in a well lit area in general as opposed to low light situations. When you tap on a dark object like a black car in low light the result isn't as good as allowing the camera to focus on its own.

Took this in the grocery store parking lot the other day. Uploaded from my phone.

Has anyone shot videos since the new camera update? My eyes may be fooling me but the digital image stabilization seems better than before.

The June 23rd Camera App update. Spot focused, ISO200, but otherwise auto in weak lighting.

I like the white balance in these shots.
