Yup. That is my experience with HDR. Not sure what that other guy was talking about when he said not to use it is low light situations. That's EXACTLY what you can use it for. It is also helpful on bright days when there are a bunch of shadows as it captures the details in the shadows. The main problem though is that it looks a little oil paintingish. Maybe that is something that is fixed in 1.4 though.
I'm looking at these pics and thinking they look pretty good to me. At least as good as my Nexus 6.
Those with the latest camera firmware, does it come included in the 5.1.1 update? If I get one of these, I'm definitely going unlocked.
I'm trying to decide if I should switch to the M9 from my Nexus 6. I love the Nexus, but it's just so huge!I've got the unlocked US version. When I got 5.1 (not 5.1.1) my software version jumped from 1.32xxx to 2.8.xxx. So yeah, I'm pretty sure the updates that came with the 1.4 update is included. I haven't noticed a huge difference in pics yet though. Need to try some lowlight shots.

Yeah, it looks like such a beautiful phone, but for some reason I can't quite pull the trigger. I think I'd be pretty happy if I did, though. That's one of the things that drew me to the M8, then the M9. HTC is one of the few companies that still make flagship android phones that are still easy to maneuver one handed. I stuck with then for top notch build and Sense.
Yes, it's been edited.
