I had a visitor to my backyard this morning. These were taken with zoom, from about 30 feet away, through a sliding glass door. I took tons of shots, and ended up with some lovely Google Autoawesome animated GIFs, plus some with the falling snow effect. Here are some selected stills.

Zoom + Taken through glass... I wouldn't expect better than this on the Moto X. Post a GIF!

I've been considering the Moto X because I want to move to Android, but these photo samples are scaring the heck outta me. My Lumia 520 takes far better photos. Well, I suppose all devices have their tradeoffs.

To be fair, my photos look much clearer on my phone than in the forum (via Tapatalk). I think my photos got downgraded.

if you're a big camera guy then stay with your lumia I hate Windows OS having a decent camera instead of a great camera is just the trade off but this phone is amazing

hosting/uploading pics through tapatalk really compresses the heck out the image. I've been looking at all the different boards, looking to see which cameras have the best IQ (looking to upgrade), and I just end up passing by any pic with a tapatalk icon on them, as it doesnt show what the phone can really output.

One serious problem with the Moto X camera is that it turns red into magenta. Take a picture of something red and see for yourself.

The view from my desk. Not bad for a quick point and shoot in low light. This camera is light years better than the one on my old RAZR MAXX.
