Anybody recommend any third party camera apps for the moto x? I just tried Procapture Free and it didn't have the same purple blotches in a lowlight scene that appear on the stock camera.

I've tried Snap Camera and Camera Awesome, and while both give you enough control to mitigate some of the MX camera shortcomings, it requires too much messing around with the settings and you still end up compromising somewhere else. If you leave the settings on auto you still get the wrong colors and the overprocessing in low light.

I've read on xda that the problem is in the camera drivers and it is up to Motorola to produce a fix. We'll just have to wait.

My girls making smores. Difficult shot at night with the fire and Christmas lights. HDR mode made all the difference!

That's the original. I applied the Punch filter to it when I posted to Facebook, and was happy with the results from that filter.
