Stills look really nice. Took kids to store and tried to capture pictures with them (they never sit still). All were delayed and none of them were crisp. Tried same thing with my DNA at the store and the pictures were much better.

I was at Verizon 3 times. I really wanted this phone and almost convinced myself the pictures would be fine. However, I can't have its camera. If things change with the update, please post. I'll occasionally check back to see any feedback.

Enjoy your Turbos! Unfortunately, I will have to wait or do the unthinkable and jump to the other side. Really don't want to switch...

Ha, yeah I eat out a lot and down a lot of beer. Totally unhealthy lifestyle, but it's how I get through college haha.

EDIT: And speaking of drinking...indoor with pretty dim lighting. HDR on and flash on the other.



Gotta say, the Turbo is the first phone I've had that didn't have a useless flash feature.

Detail on the dog's nose is pretty impressive. That was not in bright light, looks to be average lighting to me. Encouraging.

If in the stock camera app, are you using tap-to-focus? Or was this Google camera app?

Yeah lighting was fairly soft but not really dim, picture came out exposed in the right areas.

I was using the Moto camera, with the tap to focus feature. However I didn't actually move the focus, it was dead in the middle of the screen.

Tooke some sunset pictures on the beach the other day and I was extremely impressed with the results. The second picture is with HDR, the first without.

I tried the droid turbo in Verizon
I didn't find it's camera that slow comparing with iPhone 6plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 4
I ordered it tonight

Another quick album. Took a picture of the frost on my car tonight. A lot of background blur surprisingly, taken with HDR. Another one of my multimeter I took earlier with the flash on, and the last one is a flash shot of my ballistic nylon jacket I took for fun.

I seem to have a mixed bag of good shots and shots that are just fuzzy enough to make my OCD twitch. Sometimes I swear that the 8MP camera on my HTC DNA took better pictures, but I'm not certain.

I'd bet the first shot of the coffee cup that bugs you would have been difficult for just about any phone camera to process. You see, there is about a third of the shot that is dark background. Without the flash activated the camera is struggling to "brighten" the shot so it is cranking the ISO up and opening the f stop wide. That's a recipe for blurry photos and noisy photos. If you were to have swung the camera's point of view so the words "Tea Bar" on the cup was front and center, meaning the light-colored countertop would have stretched off in the background instead of the darkness, I bet it would have been a great shot. It's not too bad considering the set-up.

That's an interesting photo because of the un-uniform lighting conditions. Low light in the foreground, low to mid lighting in the middle area, and bright in the background. The guitarists on the pedestals are (presumably) cranking away on their guitars yet their hands aren't blurry. The hands being waved in the air by audience members aren't blurry. Look at the guy taking a picture in the left hand side of the photo. Look through the circle formed by his arms. Zoom in. You can see the profile of a woman watching the stage. Also just to the right of the guy holding his hand with finger extended you can see the face of an Asian woman who has turned and is looking behind her. Actually pretty impressive. Thanks for posting this.
