I've seen a lot of complaints about low light shots with the MXPE. This was at Legoland, FL. Full darkness. Only light being the two floodlights on the display. I am quite happy with this considering the conditions and this is a phone!

BTW - the figures on the track are a bit blurry due to the fact they are moving. That is a marching band. Blown up at full res the image is quite noisy and smudged but again - this is a phone in pitch black ambient light!

Some of my first pics, just random not really knowing what I'm doing. By the way, the bottom pic is an example at the so-called wide angle setting; similar pic above at normal 21 MP setting. This camera takes just OK pics, not great... I'm a "pixel peeper" but maybe I shouldn't.

Any opinions about 3rd party camera apps? Is anyone using them and taking better photos? The camera app in MXPE is pretty basic and in low-light conditions you cannot do much except use the night mode (which is pretty bad).
I've tried camera FV-5 however some things don't work (for example manually choosing ISO) and Open Camera that seems a bit snappier (and in some cases taking better photos than the stock app).
Any experience?

These are some casual photos, not professional and the subjects might seem too "common". Huhu. All taken around my house. Photos look better on the X's screen.

Ended with a bad picture in low light (daytime) to summarize the weakness of Moto X. (HDR on)

Am I the only one not seeing what HDR does, or is supposed to? Same w/ own pics: I can't tell the difference.

Shadows brightened, colours like green, red, pink look warmer (as I observe from own photos posted on the laptop) and in some cases, noise is reduced. Also, HDR more easily produces blurred pics because of the extra second of processing.

Re: Post pictures taken with your Moto X Pure Edition (Moto X Style) here!

Wish I could post the 4k video. Pretty sweet.
No option to post video on this app it seems

Can you post your 4k videos to Vimeo and just share the links? Please, I'd really love to see any 4k bids from this phone!

I heard Vimeo is pretty good with 4k (better than YouTube. YouTube supposedly nerfs the 4k quality somehow).

Car show today.

The lighting conditions weren't great, since the cars were parked west to east, or east to west, so sun and shadows were a problem.
