Post pictures taken with your second generation Moto X here

I was a bit nervous about the Moto X camera after pulling the trigger on this phone but it looks like Lollipop improved it dramatically. Does it improve for indoor as well when taking pictures of people? I'm probably going to take a lot more pictures with the Moto X and become a amatuer photographer.

Took this on the way to Vegas...

Generally speaking, it's ability to focus (speed and accuracy) is better and image blur is far easier to avoid. That being said, I struggle with ever saying any cell phone can ever serve the purpose of anyone seriously interested in photography.

Agreed. Your phone camera might be good for a quick capture and replace your point & shoot camera, but if you want to actually get serious with photography you need to look in to a DSLR.

I noticed that the front camera is more aggressive with minimum shutter speed and bumping the iso than the rear in low light. Turning HDR on makes the difference but the lowest I could get the rear camera to go with just a single over head light in my bedroom was 1/15s at I so 1000 but the front was 1/5s at 1250 with a better exposure.

Ugly cloudy day. HDR shows heavy handed halo around the building (may have been stock or Google camera--I don't remember).

Some low-light photos to compare Google Camera to the stock MotoX Camera app (from latest Lollipop update). Just plain photos taken from the same spot with each app, no HDR and I was using the auto settings.

So far, the camera seems to focus pretty quickly. It does require a fairly steady hand to take good photos (not that these are "good"). :D

So which is 1 and which is 2? Google camera 1 and Moto X 2?

Looks like one camera app is set to 13mp while the other is 9.7. I'm guessing the 4:3 photos are Google camera.
