Post Pixel 6/6 Pro Reviews thread

Just love listening to that blade. Hit the side of the phone lol and where do I sign up to count them? Ants

Thanks for the advice. Actually I ended up doing two factory resets yesterday.
It does seem to have helped but still not quite as good as my Pixel 4a. I think one cause is the variable screen cycles. It seems to be slow in kicking in. It would be nice if locking onto one speed would be offered. Maybe in Developer Mode would be a good place to put it.
Tapatalk acts a bit weird at times. When I'm scrolling through posts the screen will just take off and speed through 5 or 6 posts in microseconds.
I'll give the phone a week of normal use and see how it goes.
Update: Typing on Gboard on my P6Pro has continually been a frustrating experience. For some reason the keys and spacebar often require multiple taps to register. Maybe related to that repeating characters show up.
So after two factory resets, Safe Mode, keyboard cache and data cleaning along with uninstalling updates and reinstalling updates I finally had enough. I reported the issue, received a call from Google customer service and now a replacement phone will soon be on its way.
I only hope I'm not trading one issue for another. My FPS works flawlessly, battery life has improved so much over when I first started using the phone. Time and usage will tell.

Just like all other reviews. But I'm finding out that most reviews of a "newly released" phone is not as accurate as a review of a phone a few weeks old.

That's the problem for "Early Adopters". I would expect people find new problems or advantages as they use it, and Google will patch some of the problems with Software Updates when possible, over time.

Exactly my reasoning that reviews a few weeks after released are better than a newly released review. Early release give you a look at what the phone looks like, how it operates, how it looks compared to another phone, etc. However, for the bugs that appear after use, the reviews a few weeks later tend to show those problems. Whether or not they will be fixed? Hopefully. Sometimes that fix will requires new hardware...

Just released "In Depth Tech Reviews" for the P6 Pro and has a great demonstration of the Voice Typing.

Does the Pro give up screen real estate with the curved edge and have actually less horizontal room for reading text than the regular Pixel 6?

I feel it does. The very left and right side of pictures and text will curve down, doesn't look good. There is a line of light reflection that shows up on the edges of the curves. Annoying.
I won't be buying a curved screen phone again.
