Guys you can't do the test with any power saver on as it lowers the performance dramatically to save power. Mine is so fast cause I have delete all the bloatware apps and have it on performance mode on my root.

Interesting "how much" performance is given up to save the battery. For me and the way I use the device, I'll trade performance for additional power savings.

Benchmarking smartphones .... gotta love it. Anyone remember back in the day when we did this on mainframe and mini computers?

Very easy to do, search for towelroot and follow the steps. Benefits plenty, you can change and customize almost anything on the phone. Lots of apps for rooted phones that can do amazing things like kill the wifi in Starbucks

Ok, so I spent the afternoon turning things on and off to see if I could get the numbers to go higher. I also came to the realization that for me the true numbers are those with the way I use the phone. Getting the numbers to go up was fun and exciting but from a real use perspective were useless as I do use power saver and WiFi as well as a few other options that do not optimize on the side of performance. It was a fun exercise though .... enjoy the day.

When I ran the test for my S5 I didn't disable anything that wasn't already disabled..so the score for my phone is "real world."

My score of 35860 is from my phone's real world application. I have most of the Samsung and AT&T bloatware disabled. I don't use any power saver and my phone is not rooted.

I dont really get what you mean by Real Time Score? I mean I have alot of games and social media apps installed and run them alot. I have no settings turned off other than location and air view.

What I mean is to run the benchmark in the environment you use. I don't think it is really fair otherwise. We could all shut off power saver and a bunch of other options and get very high scores but what does that really get us other than an afternoon having fun with the technology. It's always fun to play with technology but to use it another thing.

One other thing I have noticed is that I get various different scores depending on battery level or if I am plugged in via ac.

Would be nice to be able to optimize the device for your real time environment. Sounds like a project ...... time for some more coffee.
