do you know where i could learn how to change the system font?

Really wish I could participate with some screen shots as I'm loving my setup at the moment. Unfortunately, I've had zero luck getting SDK to work on my Win7-64 bit system. This is why I can't wait for the official 2.2 release (to finally root).

All I can say is check out WidgetLocker Lockscreen (if you haven't already). It has entirely changed the way I use my phone and I highly recommend it.

Lovin' the Onix Concepts drop redx theme (in rom manager) with launcher pro & custom icon set - plus my metallic red case...

Hey guys,

I'm trying to change my status bar as it looks like many of you have, using this thread:

Dark Gray Status Bar and Transparent shade - xda-developers

I've rooted my phone, can get into it via ADB, type su, get the remount code to work. However, when I get to the cp commands, it tells me the files or directory don't exist.

I downloaded the version .zip I wanted (version 8), extracted it to my PC, and copied the two files to my phone. I had the phone in USB Mass Storage Mode, and just open it to the first directory. Is that not the root of the SD card? I noticed that if I plug the phone in via PC Mode and open Removable Storage, those two files don't exist, but it also won't let me copy the files there in PC mode.

Any ideas??? Your help is much appreciated.

The instructions dont mention doing it from ADB. I would follow them exactly - use the phone browser to download the zip file to your sdcard root, unzip it there (should be 3 files - services.jar, framework-res.apk and blurhome.apk). Then run a terminal emulator on the phone and enter the commands exactly as shown, make sure you use caps where shown. See if that works.

Thanks!

That zip file for version 8 definitely only has 2 files... Wonder if it's safe to use the blur file from the newest version??? Anyone?

Yeah youre right, the version 8 doesnt mod the BlurHome. I would think you could use one of the others without any problem.

Definitely appreciate your advice, but I think I'm going to throw in the towel on this one before I brick my phone. I have no idea what I'm doing, just reading everything everyone else wrote.

I nervous that there's no blur file, that the instructions say the screen can go black (how would I type on the terminal emulator if it does?) etc etc etc. Oh well

if youre nervous about it, yeah I wouldnt try it then. The screen goes black after copying over the framework because it does a soft reboot, but comes right back up with the new black bar - but with black clock and text. Thats why you have to then copy the services.jar to get the white clock and text and hard reboot after that. Remember if you did mess it up, you can always sbf.

This is my current look (I seem to change it almost every day):

By bottom widget, you must be referring to the Twilight Clock. It displays the
number of hours left in the day or night.

Settled on this for awhile; it is simple but with the icons/power control and swipe gestures for the dock icons I have my most commonly used things right on the homescreen.
