Cheers all,

I'm new to the forums. Looks like a great community so far .

I've had the DNA for about three weeks now and I completely love this phone, very smooth! Coming from an X2 which was a solid phone in it's own right but it was time for an upgrade.

Really diggin' the variety of homescreens that show off the beautiful 5" display. Keep em coming!

It seems that none of these include live wallpapers...is there a reason?

I don't use them because the icons will cover up whatever the cool trick the LWP uses.

Others may not use them because there is a small hit on the battery. Although I'm not certain if they affect battery life or not.

I see some home screens without the persistent buttons on the bottom, are you all rooted to do that?

Customizing my DNA screens now. Amazing how much time and work you can put into this with all the options. Considering using a HTC weather widget in my screens but Nova Launcher doesn't seem to recognize the HTC widgets. Is this a user-error with a bad settings toggle or does Nova filter non Nova widgets?

It's not that nova filters the sense widgets, it's that the sense widgets don't work in nova.

Do you mean the dock? That can be hidden with most third party launchers like Apex or Nova. Root is not required.

I have Nova launcher but for some reason the wallpaper isn't scrolling with the home screen. I opened Nova settings....then Desktop....then went to Wallpaper scrolling and it is set to "on" but it isn't working. Is there something that I am doing wrong...or maybe another setting? I'm hoping someone on here can help me with this.

If you haven't already tried it, go to the same settings page for wallpaper scrolling as you mentioned and select the "force scrolling" setting. It works for me on my DNA with Nova Prime.

You guys inspired me to update my home screen......

I found a really cool live wallpaper called "Mystic Halo". Of course it doesn't show in the still pic, but the rings all spin and pulsate. It's a free app and as the reviews say, it's very easy on the battery. It has a nice depth feel to it. And beyond that it makes my phone feel more technical. Kind of reminds me of an autobot's eye.

I also liked the look of the Zooper clock a lot of you guys are using so I threw that in there as well.

I'm pretty picky about what apps I put on my phone, it runs smooth and I want to keep it that way and so far so good .
