Post your Speedtest.Net Results

Close your eyes, click your heels together 3 times and say "there's no place like HSUPA"... jk, network speeds vary quite a bit, and the variance will be magnified now that there's a higher threshold. Keep trying, and if you don't see a difference, contact AT&T.

hahaha that made me LOL. and I'm still waiting on the update but speeds before are..

Down: 1712
Up: 217
Ping: 138

My speeds are kinda slow compared to everyone else, but in my small town, we don't even have 3G. However, I went to download the update, and my phone says it's currently up to date. I got my phone at the beginning of the month - could that be the reason I can't get the update?

Currently, I'm getting 1287 down, 331 up, and 74 ping on the Edge network.

You should have software version 1.84.502.11 if it is currently up to date. If not, keep trying. It took me a day to get the update myself.

Microcell? I don't get it.

It's something for homes with little to no service. Google it and check it out. It works great at my wife's parents house. I never got service before. Now I never miss a call or text there.

Sent from my Inspire 4G

Okay, now I'm getting something faster. Wonder what's different. Possibly less congested
network a little later in the evening.

4380 kbps down
1296 kbps up
84 ms ping

Maybe someone can advise me on this, why the big emphasis on the ups? I would think 98 percent of your use is the Downs...apps YouTube etc. Are people really getting 5mbs down? I could cancel my home internet with such speeds.

Right now these are my speeds
Download : 7.10 mbps
Upload: 1.25 mbps
Ping: 97ms

Extremely vast improvement. Before I maxed out at 5.32 mbps

Have you ever tried to email someone a full file size photo from your phone and it takes in the range of five minutes before it's marked as sent?

5.43mbps down
1.16mbps up
137 ms ping

Phenomenal for my area. Before, I never hit 3mbps here.

Four years ago, when the Samsung U700 was new. I had more than 2 Mbps download and ~1Mbps upload. Yeh, in Europe. Now I have almost nothing ... some kbps and a 3+G phone called 4G ... Are we moving back?????

Well just did the update.. hopefully my speeds get better cause they suck right now.. lol.
Down:769
Up:1057
Ping: 89

Finally got the update, but I'm definitely NOT impressed.

Before, I had 1312 down, 321 up, 65 ping.
Now I have774 down, 304 up, and 76 ping.

I travel from Edge to 3G to 4G daily.
I found when I got to my office where I was getting 1000+ upload speeds friday, I was back down to maxing 300 this morning.
I just rebooted and the upload speeds are right back above 1000.

Have you done a Reboot?

After a second restart, I'm now getting 1294 down, 328 up, and 81 ping. Not any better than it was last night when I first tested before updating. Not sure what it is that's not helping me boost my levels - could be that I'm just in a particularly tiny area of my state, and I'm pinging off a server that's almost 3 hours from me. Would that make a huge difference?

You may not be in an area where you can take advantage of the updates.
At my office I get the 1000+ upload speeds, but around my house I'm still only getting 3G.

You might also call At&t to find out about deployment in your area.

you have to connect to wifi to download it because it's like 28MB.

Well the accident was outside a McDonald's so I was inside there most of the morning, which is to say I WAS connected to WiFi. I still would have though AT&T would have sent out a message. They sure are quick to remind me via SMS when my bill is ready for viewing.
