Brooke, open your app drawer and tap Widgets at the top. You'll see icons for all of your available widgets. Tap and hold one and you'll go back to your home screens. Drag and drop it where you want it.

Widgetsoid 2.x is free in the market.

superb widget customization, and can add widgets to notification bar. i've even added a few apps to my notification bar.

a must!

I use it since it's easier to toggle the GPS with it (rather than scrolling and clicking a few times). Plus, I can easily see if my GPS was left on or not since it's useless inside my huge building at work.

Anyone use it? With the settings menu so conveniently located in the notification bar do you really need it?

Sure do. I have it on my home screen and turn wifi and GPS on and off quite a bit. It is nice to be on another screen and do those changes from the notification bar.

I use it every day. It's much more convenient than using the drop down settings menu, which isn't a settings menu at all. It's just a shortcut to the settings app. webOS, on the other hand, has an amazing and very useful drop down settings menu where you can actually toggle settings right from the menu. Huge oversight on Duarte's part. If he could do it on webOS, I don't see why he couldn't do it in android...
