Power management

So apparently my phone is going into some type of sleep/power management mode, by default as the day progresses. I've noticed this from another problem I asked about earlier in the week about not getting some texts (of which I'm still not getting all. Predominantly, I believe group messages).

I've rebooted my phone twice in the last couple of days trying to figure out why I'm not getting messages. And upon rebooting I get a number of notifications, from apps that apparently had been put to sleep, by the OS.

How do I disable all apps sleeping until I figure out what is going on with my messages, and other missed notifications?

So far, not impressed with the N20. Wasn't having these issues on my N10.

Thanks

In device care, I would put app that don't put to sleep there, in few days not in use the system will automatically put to. Sleep until you interact again. Screenshot_20200912-203415_Device%20care.jpeg

...and different Providers, may have different screens - my AT&T screen looks like this to do the same function: ("Adaptive Power Saving" at the bottom, is probably "On" causing your problem, if you're AT&T) Just additional info to Mustang's...

Ok, I turned that off. And also changed my power mode to high performance. See if that helps and I'll go from there.

Thanks

Yeah optimized with adaptive on will cause notifications to be delay as it will at some point switch to medium.

Performance is definitely worth a try but at expense of little less battery, you can tweak it with brightness and resolution and still get the other benefits

I used the Samsung migration app to move from my N10. But apparently some stuff got jacked.
That can happen, if that's the case sometimes a factory reset can fix, just don't let settings transfer over only pictures, contacts, sms

Yeah I dread doing that. But may have to. That's one thing where iPhone is better than Android. Migration

I use both platform, for me it's the same, I use Samsung cloud which I think works very very well but that's going go away soon.

I have OneDrive, since I have an Office 365 subscription, and OneDrive works extremely well for me. I use it and Google Drive, in addition to Samsung Cloud. However, I've used OneDrive and Google Drive for years before I had a Samsung phone or tablet.

Update. Having been on these settings overnight, still getting notifications. Of course the phone was charging all night too. I'll see how it goes today.

I used to use "Hi Performance" Mode all the time and never noticed any losses, 'til this phone! I am now running "Optimized" with the Note 20! My Note 9 ran great with Hi Perf, but not this one, so Mustang is right...
