Pre-order or wait on SGS2?

Is anyone really ordering this today before even one review is out AND with the Galaxy S2 probably due out next month? If so, are you thinking that you may be getting it just to return it within the 30-day window?

The SGS2 is the wildcard here for potential Photon orders. The way I see the comparison:

Photon pros: 4.3 size (yes I prefer slightly smaller), GSM capable worldphone, media/car dock, double flash, kickstand, Motorola brand, Motorola updates, Motorola radio, 1700 MaH battery

SGS2 pros: 1.2 processor, UI, 1080p video capable, 2MP front camera, unlocked bootloader, thinner, lighter

Its a samsuck... I used to love samsung but I rely on my phone working when I want to use gps or even get updates

I'll be waiting for the Within to make it to a store, and will hold both in my hand and give them a little workout. I'm leaning towards the Within right now, but who knows, I may not like it. The Photon looks like a solid device and is really nice looking, but as you said, waiting for the Within gives time for some Photon reviews to hit which will help in the decision making process.

I think most Photon pre-orders will come from Sprint customers who are fans of Motorola devices, or are clamoring for a world phone, and have decided that the device serves their needs perfectly. I don't think it has the mass market appeal that the Within will have, but it will serve a certain niche and I'd imagine it'll sell pretty well.

So, I'm waiting so I can compare them .. simple as that.

I won mine but I would have been buying today mainly because I think the webtop is amazing and I would use it alot. I returned my 3vo so I still could get the within but I dont think I will I will wait for the next launch

Absolutely not. I really like the Photon and might play around with the SGS2 when it comes out but I'm good with my decision.

I ordered 2 this morning at 5:30am... I don't plan on going back to Samsung... Horrible experience with Moment and my wife has the Epic and is not too happy with it... I have been on the LG Optimus for about 6 months and love it... I think a high end LG Android phone on Sprint would be great...
