I just called on the phone and the rep told me that you can only do a pre order online? I think most of you have done the orders through a rep on the phone, so im a bit confused. I guess ill try calling through another number to get a different rep.

I chatted with a rep online and she walked me thru step by step placing the pre-order online. So, yeah, I had to do it online myself, she cannot do it for me.

First-time poster. Thanks to all for such a great resource. Pre-ordered via rep a little after 7 this morning... Blue, 16-gig. Confirmed retention of unlimited data. Really looking forward to this one. And liking the departure from $299 launch prices.

Anyone see the article about Apple trying to put an injunction on the release of the GS3 due to 2 patent infringements? Scumbag Apple.

I guess it depends on who the phone rep is. My rep processed it with no questions.

I ordered a 16GB White S3. I'm upgrading from a Droid X. Unfortunately, I had to switch to Sprint to get it. I am 3 months away from my upgrade eligibility but verizon was unwilling to let me upgrade a few months early so that I could lock in my unlimited data plan. So, I'm jumping ship to sprint where I was able to get the same phone at the same price and still have unlimited data. Plus, my monthly bill is $30.00 cheaper. Sprints coverage is superb in my area so a win win for me! The phone ships 6/21!!!

I ordered a 32GB in white at 7am yesterday. Replacing an original Droid (don't laugh...I was waiting until the right phone came out!) Anxious to get the phone, but worth waiting for it on Verizon. Also was able to keep the unlimited - totally unexpected. I went for the 32GB because I plan to get a 64GB card. I only have 16GB on my current phone and am get a low space message every day which is really annoying. Hoping they ship early since it says 'by July 9th'. I hear they'll be in verizon's warehouse towards the end of June - forget the date I read - around the 24th I think. One thing - I have not yet see a $1 pending charge on my credit card account, but have received both emails from verizon (the original confirmation and the apology about the 6/6 date, which I knew was an error since it says 'shipped').

Congrats!

Did you cross shop the new EVO? If I could get that with less obnoxious back covers I would have a tough choice between the EVO and the GSIII.

I have been reading everything, including all the reviews, about the GS3 for 2 months now. Love everything about it. No need to look at another phone :) This is the phone of the year... Just look at the number of sales already! 10 million and counting - and I believe that number doesn't even include the US Sales. I've heard this is one of the few android phones for this year that will allow us to change the battery, and since I travel every week (airports twice a week) I need a phone that will allow me to change batteries. Sounds like with this phone there's good battery life, but when you run into travel problems, the extra battery comes in handy. And even though I probably charge my spare battery about once a month at most it retains the charge.

Alright I'm on board too. Just Pre-ordered a 32GB in Blue. I was planning to go with 16GB, but changed my mind since I have had bad experiences with SD Cards being corrupted and losing files. Didn't want to take that chance again. I have a Droid X at the moment which is a great phone, but I think its time to move on to something better. I am so excited for this phone. I got the confirmation email from VZW saying it'll ship by 07/09, which is perfect because my B-day is that week.

You might consider a battery charger rather than carrying a spare battery. I just received an Anker Slimline 3200mah charger that has a small, coiled microsim cable that you just pull out and plug into your S3. It also has a flashlight. Very slim and cheap. I think I got it on Amazon. There are bigger sizes but I figured that this will get me through a very heavy day and then I re-charge at night.

And then you have to pay etf. Do pay it. They will require it of you

I just tried to look for the charger you mentioned. I see the small coil on amazon plugged into the phone, but then I guess I also need the charger. It seems like a small battery takes up less room than the charger would in my pocketbook? The reason I always have the spare battery with me is it's easy to carry.

The Anker does require a charger. I currently have a microsim charger. They are very cheap. The Anker slimline is slightly larger than a spare battery. The main advantage would be that you don't have to re-boot your phone. But wait, there's more.....it has a flashlight!!

Pre-ordered a blue 32gb about an hour ago via VZW website. The order defaulted to Unlimited Data.

I'm buying it off contract. Kind of pricey, but I don't often splurge on myself and if the 7/9 ship date holds true it will arrive right around my birthday.

Time to retire the Thunderbolt.

Joe

Could you possibly post a link to the adapter and charger? I've looked on amazon but not sure quite what you are talking about. Thanks for your help!:)
