I remember reading somewhere that Verizon will charge your card $1 to reserve your order and then charge the remaining price when the phone ships. Don't quote me on that but it would make sense. Same deal when you go and preorder anything else really. Legally they are not allowed to charge the amount to your credit card if it is not shipped.
It won't be charged till it ships. I also charged a card with a different name than the account holder. I talked to 2 different vzw reps and they both said it would be ok. They said if there were any problems with the card it would not have allowed the order to go through.Anyone else who pre-ordered still yet to have the $1 charge on their CC? I have seen no activity on my chase cc account as of a few minutes ago, and I pre-ordered at about 7:20am on 6/6... For reference, I am not the account owner, but I logged in through her account and pre-ordered but put in my own cc #. As some have stated before, I was not given the option to change the billing address, but only to enter the zip of the CC. I guess it could be done like an in-person transaction similar to filling up at the gas station, where you only have to enter your zip? I have gotten the confirmation emails and I spoke with a vzw rep who confirmed that it will be fine, but I am hesitant to believe anything the reps tell me with how they have answered the same question differently for different people. I just REALLY dont want to get royally screwed by them not charging the cc until ship day and it getting declined for bad information. Ehhh, what a pain in the ass. -_-

Phew! I was getting worried because I was trying to pre-order, but Verizion must have been doing some system maintenance and they couldn't process my order and kept telling me to check back later. An hour later, it finally went thru...now we wait.
I pre-ordered yesterday for the 32GB Pebble Blue, and I'm being ripped for it. Everyone says I should have gone for the 16GB since I never use that much space. I guess I could always call and change it, right?
On androidforums, someone put their pre order number into Verizons order status checker, and the date was 6/28/...9846 or something like that lol. Everyone who pre ordered through Verizon check your orders!
