Pre-orders live for Tab S7/S7+

In my area (Kansas City), even with shipper designating "Signature required", due to COVID restrictions FedEx is NOT requiring or even asking for signatures. When they delivered my Galaxy S20+ and two months later my Note20 Ultra, both times the box was just left by the front door -- no knock, no bell ring, no signature.

If you won't be home, I suggest having a neighbor check for you every hour or so. Also, can you specify delivery instructions like "Behind the planter" or "underneath the rose bush" or "behind the porcelain statue." Anything to decrease possibility of porch piracy.

Anytime I have a scheduled delivery that says "signature" I tape a sign on the door that says due to COVID, I hereby grant permission to FedEx/UPS/..etc to drop off package. I am home, however I do not wish to risk the health of a delivery rep.

That's a good idea👍

Historically, I've not been horribly concerned about porch piracy in my area. I live in a quiet spread-out apartment complex of over 900 units in 200+ buildings (yes, 4 units to a building), things are fairly open and small packages left by my front door are relatively hidden from casual passersby as my entrance is elevated almost 10 feet (yes, I have outside stairs) so packages left on the deck outside my front door are generally not visible. So, unless someone sees the driver delivering they may never know there's even something there. My concern was the requirement for signature and them not leaving the package without one or without someone acknowledging the delivery.

My concern over porch piracy is SLIGHTLY elevated recently as the teenage son of one of my neighbors has some friends that meander by the base of my stairs and I've also heard them goofing around on my stairs.

Interesting development in the shipping saga:

Just received a text message and a separate email from Samsung saying all or part of my order has shipped. When I follow the URL, it takes me to Samsung orders page that shows BOTH the tablet and the keyboard cover have shipped, both have the same tracking number, and the Sammie site says 23 Sep as expected delivery date. (FedEx still says 22 Sep).

So ..... , now it looks like the keyboard cover is shipping WITH the tablet, not a week later as had been earlier represented.

"Stranger and stranger", said Alice.

That's good news. 👍🏾

I've been tracking my shipment on FedEx since yesterday. It's in Memphis and shows an expected delivery date of Sept. 22. On the Samsung site, however, it still says "In Process." What's stranger is the expected delivery date has changed several times over the last few days. It went from Sept. 22 to Sept. 18, then back to Sept. 22. Today it says Sept. 23.

My shipment reached Oakland (20 miles from my home) on Friday evening. But tracking still shows 21st evening.

I just pre-ordered on Tuesday but it will be here on the 21st. Makes no sense. But keyboard is October 14...

My keyboard initial delivery was Oct 6th and it changed to in process today. Looks like will get earlier which is great.

I got to play with the Tab S7 plus at a Best Buy in a different town, and this Tablet might replace my iPad pro the screen is awesome and the size is just right I can't wait to get mine next week.

Yea I think being slightly smaller than the 12.9 pro is perfect. It's big but still manageable.

I'm still tempted to cancel my bronze S7+ for the black just to get it earlier, but what is 3 more weeks, amirite? Lol

3 weeks? IIRC, you're using a case. I'd definitely cancel and get the black. It looks the same from the front, and the back won't show anyway.

I'm a stickler about phone colors because I always use a clear case. Tablet, not so much. I'd rather have a 256 which didn't come in bronze, but when I thought more about it, the storage doesn't matter as much. When you trade, you get the same amount regardless of the storage size, so I'll use an SD card if I need more.

But yeah...go ahead and get that black so you can start enjoying your new tech ASAP!

For me 256GB storage is important coz it comes with 8 gigs of RAM. With promised 3 year of updates, dex and multitasking definitely becoming more powerful, i think it's a necessity.

A few weeks is not a long time to wait to get the color you really want. However, I decided to go with my second color choice because, with the case on, I won't be able to see the color anyway.
