Hi everyone-1st time poster.

Anyway, I've been waiting on an upgrade since March and kept wanting to pull the trigger on phones like the Iphone 5 (before it became the 4s), the Tbolt, Bionic, Rezound, Epic 4g Touch, but I think I'm finally settled on the Nexus. I was even going to just finally get the Tbolt this week at BB for $99.

I just spoke with my brother-in-law who has a client who owns a bunch of Wireless World stores. He was telling her about me and how excited I was. She said more than likely she will have it delivered Thursday for sale late in the day or definately for Friday. I hope that she's right because like a lot of you I just can't take it anymore. Hope we get some confirmation tomorrow in the form of preorders and I can finally get rid of my Dare which was an awesome phone.

I called 3 corp stores today and not one of them gave me a Friday date. Actually 2 of them said Friday was unlikely since they haven't had any meetings about the release yet. But to expect it sometime next week.

Not yet, the deal was just approved by motorola stockholders, it still needs to be approved by regulators and then the process can begin and it will probably take a while. Maybe next summer Google will own motorola, but I wouldn't count on it any sooner than that

Might be a tbolt release. Announced a day then come it get it so.

The Thunderbolt was announced a few days before it went on sale so there is a chance we will hear some news in the next day or so.

If we're looking at a Friday launch, then an announcement would come today or tomorrow. Its usually 2-3 days before launch Verizon announces availability for their devices, correct? (The high end ones anyway.)

I would think they would try marketing the phone all over (TV, radio, digital) a few days before it goes on sale but who knows.

Shhh. I know everyone only wants to see a commercial because it will only provide proof of the release date. If we were 100% sure this phone was coming out on Friday, no one on here would want to see this phone advertised.
Why create demand? More for us.

I wouldn't think anyone will have trouble getting the phone with or without advertising IMO but I'm sure Verizon will be screaming GN to sell as many as possible before Christmas.

Rezound to me was like a very quite release lol no commercial didn't hear anything about that phone.
