I'm more looking like Monday but that's a cluster f because of the tablets coming out. Friday soft launch then Monday just announced it.
Most definitely not just a midwest problem. I had no data for several hours here in Florida (no 3G or 4G).
Any who, as far as the data outage yesterday having been the issue for the delay...I think I can buy into that with a sprinkle of salt of course. They wouldn't want to introduce thousands of new devices on a single day that may cause more headaches for the network and customer service, especially if they're not confident of it's stability yet.

Just called two Verizon stores in Manhattan and both confirmed it was pushed back until next week. :'(
I don't get the argument about activating new phones. If each store only got about 15 phones, how is that any different than if they sell 15 RAZR/Rezound/whatever else is 4G on Friday? You can't buy those until they fix the network either?
I'm going to monitor the forums today and then call my local Verizon before I leave work today. My plan is to show up there tomorrow at 9 when they open and see what happens.

You've got to be kidding me, are you serious? How in the heck do you get this^ from what I said. I said it didn't seem like it was a friggin NATIONWIDE outage for 4g subscribers, it seemed like regional issues over different areas. I called friends and family all over this wonderful land land mass I live on and no one had any problems so it seem alot more isolated than nationwide. I've used 16gb of data in the past 24hrs and have yet to expeirience any fluctuation. That's all I was pointing out, nothing more & if anything less. I thank you, though, I found this comical.

Ill probably do the same but my hopes are not high. Maybe that afternoon a soft llaunch would be great.

Vzw news tweeted that system are back to operating so with that said. A few pages back could it still be possible for a soft launch? Friday? Maybe?

The Blvd Mall store just said they got an email around 2pm yesterday (Dec 7th) and it told them it's pushed back and not to sell it tomorrow (dec 9th)

It would be nice. After tomorrow if it doesn't happen we will be back to nowhere land, waiting on the next rumored launch date.
It sucks that they're just sitting in the stores. Really was hoping to have one before the weekend. Oh well.

My company verizon rep told me yesterday that friday was going to be the day and she would drop the phone off at my office friday afternoon. I got an email last night from her, this is what it said:
"Sorry for the delay but I just got out of meetings. The Nexus has been delayed until further notice. I will keep you posted."
Take that for what its worth. All i know is she is a rep for Qualcomm so she should have fairly accurate information. It may have been because of the 4G LTE outage but who knows. We will just have to wait and see.

FWIW - Called several stores in the Northern NJ area - most said that Friday was the intended launch date and that they had stock, but they were told yesterday that the launch has been pushed back with no further information.
