When I got the Bionic I currently have at Costco, they wouldn't hold one either, said it was first come first serve.....and they're just a 3rd party retailer. Guess that could be a Costco policy rather than really being anything tied to Verizon's policy.
And yes, I'm planning to get the Nexus and replace my Bionic. Got it on launch day (Sept 8) and already on my 2nd one because of issues with dropping data, random reboots, screen locking up and still experiencing the same on this one. Wrote a nice stern email to the company and they are essentially giving me back my upgrade. I'll have to buy the Nexus on contract and pay for it, then send back the Bionic to get my money back on it. Kind of a half-assed way of handling in IMO, but at least I'm able to get the Nexus this way.....

The store I called was also a corporate store and the manager said it was the biggest one in the district.......not sure what that had do do with anything but he was the one who offered to hold one for me, I didn't ask him. It could be bull but either way I'll be there by 9am both Thursday and Friday just to make sure I get one.
He also told me to bring in my Razr with the box and everything it came with and he would take care of switching it out for the Nexus for me.

I'm praying my day goes that well - it takes longer to drive than to walk to my store (I think its about 1,000 ft away)... except I had to go to the next closest store (about 15 minutes away) to get my RAZR because they would not honor my upgrade discount.

I hope it comes out next week. Thursday would be nice because, I could go first thing in the morning. If it's Friday I'd have to go after work and I don't know how the crowds would be.
It's funny, even though I have the GSM model I'm still anxiously awaiting the Verizon model. I've never seen a nexus phone on Verizon, let alone with LTE. I hope they have a car & desk dock because I'm getting it all.

Actually you can. I've been charging any phones I get and pay it back on my next bill.
Depends on how good you are paying the bill with them. Mine is always on time of a week etc and they never gave me problems charging at store or phone.
Credits now are 400 used to he 400 a line now its just account only. But enough to buy that.
I was gonna charge mine but I did that for my wife rezound which isn't due til this month so i can't charge any since its almost maxed out.

Yes you can, I did so with my Droid X and network extenders... Specifically iirc If you do not have a balance left on the account there is no problem. So if your bill just got posted you have to pay it in full before you can charge the phone to your bill.

Yes. I put the Bionic on my family plan account. When I did that years ago on Tmo, they would let me spread out the payments over the next 3 bill cycles, but Verizon expects full payment on the next full bill period.

I always charge my phones and accessories to the next bill. It depends on your standing with Verizon and the limit varies depending on how large of an account you have. I have a $1000 limit but I have a family plan with 5 lines plus a 6th line for my tablet so mine is higher. As long as you have a good credit with them for over a year, you should be able to. Only corporate stores can bill though.

When I bought the Bionic they put it on my bill. I paid my whole bill and when I returned the Bionic they put it back on my account as a credit. I'm hoping to use what's left to offset the price of the Galaxy nexus. It's the only reason I'm going to the store to by it.

Might wanna call in and check your 1000 credit. Cause mine used to be that and always paid on time but Verizon made changes to 400 per account is because of other people running it up to 1000 and can't pay.
