When I got the Bionic I currently have at Costco, they wouldn't hold one either, said it was first come first serve.....and they're just a 3rd party retailer. Guess that could be a Costco policy rather than really being anything tied to Verizon's policy.
And yes, I'm planning to get the Nexus and replace my Bionic. Got it on launch day (Sept 8) and already on my 2nd one because of issues with dropping data, random reboots, screen locking up and still experiencing the same on this one. Wrote a nice stern email to the company and they are essentially giving me back my upgrade. I'll have to buy the Nexus on contract and pay for it, then send back the Bionic to get my money back on it. Kind of a half-assed way of handling in IMO, but at least I'm able to get the Nexus this way.....
