predictive text/ dictionary samsung s9

[Android Central Question]

does anyone know why the predictive text doesn't predict or offer word suggestion on the default keyboard.

I have turned on the correct predictive text settings but I have to type out each word in full.
the Swift keyboard does do this but I prefer the Samsung default one because it has numbers with the letters on the same keyboard.
