On one of my old phones, you could control the number of rings that the phone allowed before the call went to voicemail.

I have looked high and low for this on this phone, and cannot find the setting.

Any ideas?

It varies by system type and/or carrier. On GSM it's part of the call fwd if no answer feature code. Dial *61*[destnum]*[sec]# where destnum is the voice mail number (dial *#61# first to get the current number--it may not be your phone num) and sec is the time ringing (not number of rings). Or call cust service and let them change it.
