Preorders starting tomorrow? (Nov 29th)

Holy crap vzw just emailed. It was about the galaxy nexus not nexus prime

My completely uninformed assessment: The Bionic was months late, crowding the market this fall. Verizon wanted to give that and the Razr time to see. Also, Verizon was/is using Europe as beta testers. I think Verizon would not sell the device until the volume issue was fixed because they are afraid of returns. Now 4.0.2 is out, which I ass-ume fixes this issue. Maybe that means the floodgates will open.

Hoping to put in a pre-order.

Maybe, except the bug related to a GSM spectrum VZW doesn't use.

What I meant was that what I've been hearing has come from people that work within Verizon. In addition, though not employees of Verizon, Phil and Panda had echoed some of the same things. In other cases, there have been official release dates that have been mentioned and pushed back for some reason or another. Verizon has kept silent on this for whatever reason. Even their announcement that they'd carry the device was strange seeing as it was a Friday evening.

You're more than welcome to keep believing this is just business as usual, but for those that don't care to share in that, don't fault them for getting mad about it.

Probably because they know better than to state a date and not release it on time. Probably because they have learned from past mistakes. Probably because a date will be given when the bug that they are encountering is fixed. Just a thought.

But again, that's why they are INTERNAL dates. They are not meant for public eyes. They are often broken which is why they are INTERNAL. Getting annoyed because a company didn't hit a very movable INTERNAL date is silly. It is normal business whether people want to believe it or not. It happens all the time and probably more often than not.

If it's not fixed already. And they did give a date; December 31st. What happens if they don't meet that? Same thing that would happen if they said an earlier date and didn't meet it; nothing. Again, the silence surrounding this whole thing is unusual, but that seems to be lost on a lot of you.

Surprised no one is talking the vzw testman sight. When u see the nexus on it u know its really close

All I'm saying is stop giving people a hard time because they're annoyed they don't have the phone yet. This has been an unusual launch and they can get mad all they want. I'm going to just wait it out and keep testing this Razr.

I don't think any one person gets to dictate when someone else getting annoyed is "silly." If people here, as consumers, are frustrated/annoyed/upset over the fact that internals dates haven't been met or even over the fact that Verizon announced the phone over a month ago and we're still waiting, they get to be. No reason to continuously berate them for feeling that way.

I won't even care if they said it will release next year on December 2012, as long as they have a date. Everybody is joined in on trolling our community with all these bullcrap rumors even the admin on this site. Verizon is leaving a bad taste and I dont think I want to ever consider having their service again after I get this nexus ordeal over with.

I still fail to see how its unusual at all. Verizon has a sign up page. What else do you want from them before they release an actual date? Its unusual because a few of the "reliable" sources say it is? I'm sorry, but its not. The Bionic was unusual, this is nowhere near yet.
