Prepare Yourself for Late Delivery

We're all excited about pre-ordering our new phones, but remember to be prepared for late arrivals. I just feel it.

Deliveries have been arriving later than what I'm accustomed to - not just ground deliveries, but 2nd day and overnight. Maybe it's just me. I order a lot of stuff.

My Galaxy Watch 4 was supposed to be shipped on the 7th, with an arrival the next day. I paid for faster shipping. The watch was just picked up by FedEx yesterday...and it's not even in my state yet, so it's not coming today. I may not get it till Monday...I'm hoping they'll deliver it tomorrow.

With all these orders, and the fact that we're still in a pandemic, it's a good idea to be reallllly patient.

Most likely with FedEx the delays are all weather related..I know the FedEx freight side they shut us down when a big storm comes thru and everything is backed up for a few days afterwards.. so yeah gotta be patient.

Well... FedEx just delivered my watch. I'm impressed. It didn't even get to my state till 10:30am.

Yes! When I see I have something coming FedEx, I add an extra day or 2. Ironically, my Notes are the only things that consistently come on time with FedEx. I hope the trend continues.

Especially for the exclusive colors. They say it on the main page that it's a 3-4 weeks... Doesn't make sense because they should be available on the 25th with the rest of the colors. I ordered the Sky Blue and it's saying March 9th

We shall see. But yes, there are shipping problems and this time of the year, very easy to get a weather related problem; especially where I live and the FedEx lady drive a 4x4 truck.

I got my Note 8 like 12 days late due to hurricane irma in 2017.

Hopefully everyone will get theirs around the 22nd. I got the 45-watt charger in this morning ordering it on the site at the same time I ordered the phone Wednesday night. So, it got from Irving Tx to San Antonio within a day practically. I hope everyone gets theirs in a reasonable time.

That is just estimated date. The way UPS and Fedex is shipping right now I'd expect delivery on the 24th The hubs also have staffing issues right now as well which has been a factor in some of my shipments being a day late.

They also didn't give an option to pay for next day like they used to a couple years ago. It's all 2nd day air now.

We shall see but one of the bonus parts is I've never received the tracking information this early (bonus on my part). Usually tracking information gets generated the weekend prior to release date.

I ordered my phone on 2/9 @ 10:15am CST and I checked FedEx on the 11th and my tracking information was in there.

I totally agree with you, OP. We need to be prepared for late orders, especially due to the high demand of S22 products flying off the virtual shelves!

Well mine will get here after release date. Because I ordered sky blue. But I knew that when I ordered it. But Samsung website was so wonky on 9th. I had tried other colors too had them in cart but cart would empty. So tried blue and I got thru to purchase. I have my trusty note 20 ultra so I am good.

I order lots of stuff as well but in general haven't had issues with deliveries for most items even during peak pandemic. I do agree stocks are generally constrained because of material supply etc but as long as you order your products as quickly as possible, I have always got them on time.

If you ordered S22 series as early as possible you are set, later orders a different story since it's already backordered and there are always some exceptions with bad luck causing orders to be delayed even after pre-ordering in the early window.

Lots of Apple products, S21 Ultra, latest Fold, Pixel 6 Pro etc they all have arrived on launch day for me and many of those products were also heavily constrained during pandemic. The main thing was to get the order placed as soon as pre orders went live. Pixel 6 Pro pre orders were a mess similar to what many people encountered with S22 Ultra in this pre-order with website issues.

Yeah don't expect any issues ..Fold 3 and Pixel 6 came timely...I ordered on 2/9 at 852 pm EST bc I was busy during the day so didn't get online till evening...it seems watch and phone are coming together in same package
