Preparing For Gingerbread Update

Since it is just a matter of time until the official over-the-air update is released, I wanted to get some specific answers about which of the modifications I've made to my phone will need to be reverted before I can successfully update with the OTA.

I am running stock 2.2 rooted with bootstrap recovery, some build.prop edits made with the Droid X Overclock app, a customized boot logo (replaced Motorola "M"), deodexed and flashed with a gingerbread theme (dark notification bar, gb lock screen, dark menus, etc.), and I've frozen many of the bloat-ware apps included with the phone (CityID, Skype, Madden, NFS Shift, etc.).

I do have a nandroid backup which I can use if necessary but thought I'd ask and save the trouble. It's my understanding that many of these things would not cause issues and would simply be undone by the gingerbread update.

What's the official word? Any chance someone might be willing to make a quick guide for anyone with similar questions? I believe I saw something like this last time around with the Froyo update.

Thanks!

No one will know untill it hits. Some rooted people were able to update ota with froyo some were not. Since there is only a couple ota updates out its a little hard to measure consistancy of the update variables.

Best bet is to load the leak because Verizon may never update to it. You could be waiting for months. If you want to wait then leave the phone as is and see if you get an update. If it doesn't work then explore some options.
