Preventing Torsion

I keep my phone in my front pocket. There's no way I'm going to use a holster.
After reading this thread, I am worried.

I am hoping there is a case that is both thin and prevents torsion. The otter boxes just seem too bulky, and one of the reasons I wanted the nexus over the rezound was to have a thin device. Any suggestions?

I cant see any case as providing any real resistance to torsion or twisting. Take the case in your hands, and twist it. Now apply the same force to the phone. See how much less the phone twists than the case? For a case to resist torsion effectively, it would have to be a solid frame, not an open top, and would have to be rigid, not snapped together. I just don't see it. Protecting the phone from drops, nicks, etc, absolutely. For what you want, I don't see anything working well.

Better a belt pouch than a broken phone or cellphone radiation near the family jewels.

Lol protecting the jewels was one reason I got the otterbox holster...also because it protects the screen during drops

Yeah, I definitely don't want to spend $250 on a phone so that I look like even more of a dork than I do already.

Maybe this won't be the phone for me if there is no way to reinforce it for ordinary carrying. Too bad.

Thanks to my holster my phones are always protected. Chicks dig my extra large holster on my hip. Shows I take care of my investments. Also married with twins so keeping the phones away must help ;)

I'm not worrying about it. I've had the phone since the morning of launch, and I've carried it in my front pocket every day since. Nothing has happened to the screen of my phone.

Are you guys wearing really tight pants or have huge thighs?

Maybe its time to invest in some cargo pants. :)
