I Googled the problem and people say it's related to a downloaded app. I couldn't figure out what the app was so I reset the phone to factory. I just got it today, so I didn't lose anything important. However right after the restore it gave me that error message immediately. What is it, how do I stop it? If I can't stop at I'm just going to return the phone and get a different one.

With out much information I would assume that you are getting an error with something related to security certificate something prevention and an Icon on the top ? Well if that is what you experimented it is a general problem going on caused by the app KNOX. Lots of people including me is suffering from it. If you are going to exchange it for another type of phone its ok, but for another the same is up to you. Apparently we need to wait for a fix from Samsung, in any event do a search in the forums for a long thread going on right now. Search for:

That is the error I'm getting but I have no clue what Knox is. I didn't download it. I looked and it seems to be a default app. Does anyone know if it's at&t only? That's the carrier I have. I can't believe Samsung would let a problem like this go on.

Knox a default security program built deeply into your phones system. It can't be uninstalled it's mostly ment to keep important company documents safe and away from person stuff. Knox has a bug constantly flagging something. Your phone is fine. Its happening on every network. Every one is just waiting for a software update to fix it. Don't worry it doesn't affect device performance, it's just annoying

Just to clarify, it's NOT happening on every network and not every phone. I'm using it (granted, not AT&T...heck, not even an American one, but I saw reports from an UK user as well) and so far no error message popped up from KNOX.

Several report and post and pages upon pages of people on sprint, t mobile, Verizon and at&t getting it. So when I say all I mean the top 4 carriers. Not all people get it right away. Just one day its there and its like you didn't download anything new to cause it. Alot of note 3's not all. Some people got some fixes auto updated to their phones

I have a Canadian (Rogers) note 3 and had that message pop up. When I got the update to MJ4, I have not seen the pop up anymore
