Previous Gear users, do you like the rounded design or should it go back to what it was?

Curious about the opinion of the Gear users and how they feel about the design change of this Tizen's smartwatch.

Gear has always been known as the bulky square watch, but now it seems to be a elegant watch.. (with somehow some look & feel that sort of makes it feel a bit of a feminine watch when some photos are taken on it's side)

So what's your thoughts?

I like the gear s. It wraps around my wrist so doesn't feel bulky. I do like the round design too though and will likely get one seeing as they ARE offering a 3g version.

Funny I've never had anyone call mine bulky. I still get complimented on the look my Apple watch. Shows you how much Apple users really pay attention to details.

I have the brown gear 2 and apple users won't stop asking me is it an apple watch. Quite annoying sometimes. Funny though most android users know exactly what it is.

I like my Gear S and Gear 1 and always thought that round smartwatches are a bad idea, given that it takes away from how much can be displayed on the screen.

After seeing hand-on videos of the S2, I'd love to have one, if it had a SIM card slot I can access (it doesn't). Makes me sad because they sure are gorgeous and work with non-Galaxy phones.

I'm in the camp that prefers the round faces. I have to say the Gear S2 is the most attractive smartchwatch I've seen to date. The first 360 really impressed me, but the S2 is a lot better. It doesn't have a flat tire, and the bezel isn't massive. Not to mention the bezel is functional. I also like the way the band tapers from the face. The 360 just has narrow bands and it looks like a puck attached to a band. I get it, I get what Moto is trying to do but I think the S2 has way more appeal.

Square faces are more practical. I think Apple made the right choice in going square because in the long run they will all be square. Square will be stylish once society gets more saturation. For now these watches aren't that functional yet, so I want to go for how they look more than their practicality. If I could get one today, I'd go for the regular S2 with the white band. It's got that clean futuristic sterile look, like something you'd see on a JJ Abrams star trek set.

After watching the live event yesterday from Berlin and seeing all the functionality and style of the gear S2, I'm SOLD. Especially since there is a 3G version. This is one of the biggest advantage, in my opinion, Samsung has. It is what attracted me to the gear S to begin with. I love being able to have the watch without having to have the phone nearby. I'm a runner and HATE carrying a bulky phone when I run yet I always want it in case of emergencies. Now, perfect, I use the gear S for music on my run and have it as a phone too just in case. Of course there are many other uses I use it for.

I know probably tmi. :) I AM super excited about the gear S2. It is very stylish and chic. I'll be getting the silver one with the white band...the 'sporty' one and most definitely the 3G version! Now if AT&T would just start SELLING them! LOL.

I do not like the new design. It looks cheap and puny to me. I like the square design that sets it apart from all of the others. This looks like a moto360.

I like the new design as it provides a more business like appearance. But I just sent a suggestion to Samsung that they tweak the settings to allow a reverse screen orientation so that lefties like me can approach the back and home buttons without reaching over the screen. The beauty of the Gear S is that the home button was bottom center and therefore the same experience for lefties and right handed users.

I think the new design is a WIN for Samsung. They have combined style, functionality and elegance all in one gorgeous package. I love the Gear S but I will without a doubt be grabbing a S2 once this baby hits the market

I prefer round, looks more like a watch. The rectangular shape seems too bulky and feels more like a screen with a strap around the wrist than a watch.

I just wish the design is more premium. Would be nice if it looked a little shinier and more metallic. It looks like dark grey plastic, maybe its just pictures but in videos where it is held next to a moto 360, you can notice the difference.

Love the round face. Watches and even clocks have been around a long time and have been round until the square digital watches appeared in the 80s and those always looked cheap. Traditional watches are round. I have a few and generally spend between 500 and a 1000 for a watch. I want a smart watch that looks like a nice traditional watch not some attention seeking narcissistic individual.
