Pri 1.77

Flashed update with root 0 problems

flashed 1.77 radio update 0 issues + doubled 3g speed (southern illinois near St. louis). went from 300 k to 600k. Have to drive through collinsville on my way home will try 4g there.

Were u saying the flashable zip file by Flipz, new radio including with WiMax + PRI? I will give it try. do you think i should back to 1.34 before doing anything. I just restore to my last nand backup(right before i flash 1.77_003 hours ago)

Regardless if you restore Nand your still on the same PRI

Flash back down to 1.34 then do the Recovery Flash about that Flipz had up

crap....i flashed back to 1.34_003, i do still have the same issue now. repeating "turn on...scanning...turn off" circle, non-stop. did anyone else have the same problem after update? please help

flashed fresh 3.3.0.1 now, nothing fixed, problem is still on. anyone can help? thank you in advance

Try Deleting the XML file for wimax

Make sure your 4G is turned off though

then restart 4G should connect...

Thanks, guys. I tried to search on XDA, just want to confirm if i found the right file to delete/rename

DELETE TREE.XML FILE IN THE FOLLOWING DIRECTORY: /data/misc/wimax/
How you delete this file is totally up to you. I personally deleted using adb shell, but Root Explorer from the Market should work as well.

OR

adb shell [enter]
cd /data/misc/wimax/ [enter]
rm name_of_your_tree_file.xml [enter]

Guys, bad news. I deleted/renamed that wimax xml file, and reboot, turn on 4g, still having the same problem.

Mine seems to work just fine. Been using this pri for a couple of weeks or so.

Okay, after reading such a long thread in XDA, my 4g seems be hosed, which means it's unsolvable for now except for returning. I dont know if it is b/c i flash new PRL in HBoot way, but i lost RSA key, so it kept looping at "scanning...connecting to sprint network...scanning".

Do you have access to a second EVO? The reason i ask is because i haven't seen you say that you can hold your EVO next to another EVO and the other connects but your doesn't.

You have yet to eliminate their being a problem with wimax on Sprints end. wimax is not like actual 1xrtt signal so if Sprint were having issues with 1xrtt i would think they would tell the world about it but if they had an issues with wimax maybe they don't feel they have an obligation to notify anyone due to it not being tier 1 (for lack of better words) ::shrugs::

Personally lately My 3g service has been spotty at best...

I dropping off 3G to 1X its annoying but I do believe Sprint is having issues...

Mind you Im on the old PRI with new Radios

Thanks, Smith. I will double check with my coworker who uses evo also. But, i m not optimistically hoping that it has something to do Sprint end, cuz usually i had really good 4g signal around my working area.

you know, still feel something annoying on my back since i cant find some solution to it. Also, I dont want to go through that return process either now.

Just wish there were some fix coming out later for such issues.

I went back to 1.34 to test. 1.77 was causing wake locks on my phone it looks like and 4G was very spotty if it connected at all.
I see no speed difference in any PRI or Antenna updates.

I installed this a few days ago, havent noticed a different good or bad. Ill stick with bigger number = better
