I was pretty set on preordering the ultra but 1399 is aggressive for sure. I paid 1149 for an iPhone pro max and I thought that was utterly ridiculous. Samsung is going to have offset these ridiculous prices with freebies otherwise I’m gonna hold onto my Note 10. The problem with Samsung’s is they drop in value like a rock. Paying 1399 plus tax for a phone that will be worth 750 at most in 4 months is a tough sell. I was hoping the ultra would be at the 1099 Note 10 price. Maybe 1199 with 5g.

Yeah definitely price is high , hopefully some good trade ins can offset it for those that do order it.

What most people aren't factoring in, when converting the UK pricing to U.S., is with the UK phones they add a 20% tax baked into the quoted price of the phone. Based on the latest I've read on Twitter the S20 Ultra should be priced around $1150 before tax.

I sure hope you’re right. I can stomach 1150 for the ultra.
But $1400 for the Ultra and I’ll pass....

According to BGR, the t mobile s20 ultra will indeed be 1399 and is only available in 5g. I think Samsung is going to have a hard time moving them at that price.

Totally get that. My note 10 plus was 1099. I would be willing to go 1199 but an ultra with 5 g and the camera but 1399 is 300 More than the flagship note.

Yeah but when the Note Ultra comes out I'm sure that will be a bit higher. We will just have to wait and see. For me it's a question of what the trade in deals are.

Now that I think about the 2 ceramic model S10 pluses were not cheap either and were harder to justify. I got the ceramic with 512 storage but I got it for the same price as the standard S10+. The 12GB ram, 1TB model was ludicrous.

Does Samsung usually have a promotion for Pixels as a trade in? Or is it just Samsung phones? If the S-20 is way out price for me I would like to go back to the S10+. Since I have T-Mobile they have taken the S-10+ off of the website. Not sure of they have stopped selling them or not.

I got 600.00 trade in for my pixel 3xl for Note 10+

If I get an S20, it'll be the regular model. The plus doesn't bring anything major to the table that the S20 doesn't have, and the Ultra is just hilariously huge. So that price is about in line with what I expected. Actually wouldn't be surprised if the base model with base storage is $900 or $950, and not that $999. Seems some of our guesses in this forum end up more accurate than these "leaks" from "sources." We'll see.

That was or is more expensive than the 3axl. I only paid $479 for it. So I can't see more than $400 for it, $450 tops.

Yeah probably 300 to 350 could be wrong though .

Yea I can't see them pricing the base s20 above the 900 range. Have to have a model for the budget friendly(although 900 isn't budget friendly) lol
