I figured I would share the reason I am skipping the Tbolt and waiting for the Bionic. Please don't hate on it, this is totally IMO:
One reason it is not, is Sense. I currently have an Incredible and LOVE the Sense. I am sad to be leaving it honestly, but the truth is with Launcher Pro Plus and Dialer One, and Beautiful Widgets, I will be able to move on without it.
It isn't design. Personally, the HTC designs are extremely sexy IMO and they feel very solid. I love my Incredible and my friends that have most other phones (except the Droid X) are jealous of how great it feels in the hand.
It isn't the speed of dual core either. The Incredible is FAST. I have seen a lag MAYBE 5 times since I bought the phone back in May and I am constantly running multiple apps and use the device constantly. I honestly don't think I would notice any speed increase because you can't get faster than instant.
No, the reason I am officially leaving HTC is battery. I have spent over $100 on accessories for the Incredible, rooted it, changed kernals to what was ultimately the best, and the battery is still not what I need. If I use the 1800 slim I do not through my entire day. I get through the work day, but not going out with friends after. Not unless I bump charge it in the middle. If I use the 2750 battery, I get through ALMOST a full day and night, but if it is a heavy usage night, I don't. Not to mention, what good is it buying a sexy phone if I am going to slap on a huge battery pack that makes it look awkward in my dress slacks.
The other catch is that in order for these batteries to work effectively, I must do the famous "HTC Bump". I used to use my phone as my alarm clock. It was extremely reliable and NEVER failed. Since buying the Incredible, I now have to use an alarm clock that does sometimes fail on me. When I go to sleep, I plug in my phone. I have that alarm wake up 30 minutes before I normally get up, unplug my phone, turn it off, and plug it back in. Then sleep for the remaining 28 minutes until my real alarm goes off. I take my usual 30 minutes to get ready, unplug my phone, turn it on as I am leaving.
For those who don't know, HTC phone's seem to have a problem where they think they are fully charged when they aren't. In order to trick them into "fully" charging for real you must do what I said above. HTC knows this problem and recommended this solution. G-d forbid almost a year later, they fix it. Nope.
Motorola however charges fine, gives a bigger battery by default then my slim battery, AND fixes problems in their phones as fast as they can (for real instead of pretending). To me, this means the world and is my only reason for caring so much about the Bionic. Never again shall I "bump" charge and I shall reclaim by 30 minutes of sleep every morning!
Thank you for listening. haha
