Problem| I recieve SMS messages with area codes

Hello,
I bought the nexus about 4 months ago I couldn't find a solution anywhere.
I live in Israel and whenever I get a text message, instead of the contact's name, I see his number with +972 in the beginning(which is the area code for Israel).

Any suggestions?

Is the contact's name stored with that number on your Google contacts?

Nope, neither on people app or contacts section in gmail.

Im having this same problem and its driving me crazy. I can't figure out why I've checked all the international dialing settings, and no one ive talked to in cell phone stores can figure it out.

Nope, neither on people app or contacts section in gmail.

So what's the problem? Here in the US anyway, caller ID on cell phones only works if the caller (or texter) is listed in your default address book.
