problem loading widget

I have the same problem and I wasn't using launcher pro. Zeam and adw both gave me this trouble.

its definately not a launcher issue. getting rid of red fixed. i jsut flashed a rom again and have no problems and am on a voodoo kernel again. getting rid of red fixed it. once i disabled the lag fix and flashed a new kernel, i fomated my sd card. i only had blue at this point. and i left the broke widget on my home screen. once it booted up the widget was working. then i flashed green new voodoo lag fix all is good. flashed new rom, all is still good. it has gotta be red. getting rid of red worked for dan as well and i bet it will work for sheepy too.

Outside of the semi-sexual content of the 'flashing nature' of Mr. Gunnermike - I wonder why this is a random event over phones and ROMS.. I have CWMR on my phone and running a imnuts kernel - no issues for me...

Must be something random like the cd/ROM drive error...

I'm not totally convinced it's red cwm either. I've been using it for the past week with no problems. could it be that you flashed it to root your phone instead of using a diff method to root? that's really the only difference I could see, altho I'm not sure why that would affect your widgets.

how about this, my phone was giving me BW FC's so i battery pulled, it wiped my contacts got rid of all my widgets and went back to stock TW

Wow, that's bizarre. How could it even do that without all of the stock TW stuff onboard to load. Call a priest and have that thing exorcised. Wow.

it was i am running stock , i only have a theme flashed, and test kernel 5

Follow up on mike's fix, I'm performing this all as I type. (I type REEEAAAALLY slow. LOL)

Recovery, disable lag fix, wait, wait, wait, boot up fully. (Took this opportunity to copy SD card to desktop. Wait, wait, wait.)
Flashed adrynalyne's non-voodoo 6, DOH!, odin flash stock DL09 w/ green.

Widgets intact

reflash Adrynalynes non-voodoo 6 from recovery, widgets intact.

tried to reflash frankenkernel UV via recovery, install zip from SD card gave blank screen? volume up once for the go back entry, enter, back to menu, install from SD again and it showed. Commence flash. Reboot to RED just to verify. Leave voodoo disabled, full boot. Widgets intact.

Reboot, enable voodoo, and /system lagfix. Reboot. Wait, wait, wait.

Widgets intact.
My widgets have died with every kernel flash since I went all gunnermike in the kernel threads.
So how many flashes per day does it take to be a flash whore? Mike's phone is the chuck norris of fascinates LOL. It eats kernels for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, desert, and 4th meal LOL. How many fascinates does it take to screw in a light bulb? One, mike found a kernel that gives it arms and voice commands. LOLOL. ah, good times.
