Problem with flash

Sometimes when I take a picture in low light situations the flash will go off when I'm focusing. Then flash to take the picture. But the picture turns out dark. Like the camera isn't synced with the flash. If I take the same picture a second time the flash works

I have encountered this sometimes as well. Are you using a custom rom or anything?

Sometimes the flash is lit solely to do "red eye" reduction. The early flash makes the eye pupils close down, so eyes look more normal in the final photo. Check to see if "red eye reduction" is enabled. If so, disable it and see if things work better.

Yes but why then would the same picture in the same light use the flash in the picture 2 seconds later
