Problem with Rom

You can't flash hboot 1.5 in recovery. You have to use flash image GUI.

ok so there has to be instructions on how to get GUI and then flash the rom using that method....

I have now since flashed the recovery and I am back to the stock phone.

Please just post a link on how to easily flash MikRunnys rom to my 1.5 phone using GUI.

Ok the rom I want is on my sd card....i also downloaded and installd flash image gui.

When i try to open flash imague gui I get access denied. I checked my superuser list and its not on there to accept it and I have Allow all on my superuser settings>

Such a pain. I understand how to do it now but cant get flash gui to open...

I wish I could help you more with that but I've never used it! I have hboot 1.4
You could try flashing through fastboot.

i already tried the doing the flashboot way and got lost in the command prompt process...way over my head and isnt working for me like it is in the tutorial.

download this tool, extract it to your desktop copy the boot img into the folder thats on your desktop. plug in your usb, make sure you have debugging checked in the settings, open the folder and run cleanflash.bat file and it will flash the boot img for you

FlashImage GUI only flashes the bootimg or a recovery img, you still need to flash the rom in recovery

it doesnt matter if you flash before or after, if you had gone to that link you would be done with already. i flash roms about every day doing testing i would not tell you wrong

Ok so i download that tool to a folder on my desktop then i drag the .zip file of whatever ROM i want to that folder......Not hat I have the folder with the rom and tool in it...what do I do next?

I guess I am asking how do i apply it to my phone?

You just want the boot.img in the folder. You are only flashing the kernel with the tool. You still flash the ROM through recovery.
