Problem with widgets

Try going into safe mode then back out
To do this long press the power button until powering off on the screen displays then long press the power of on screen to show safe mode to exit out safe mode just reboot the device

Thanks for the instructions. I didn't know about that. I did try it but it didn't make any difference. I dread the thought of doing a factory reset to fix this but I may have to. I keep hoping "they" will fix it.

Try resetting app preference
Go to settings>apps>upper right corner tap>reset app preference
