Problems after 2.2 update - post here.

Facebook will start but nothing will load. I tried clearing the cache - no luck. I even uninstalled and re-installed it. It will take my login and give options for sync but will gives an error stating:
"An error occured while fetching data: [613 /Calls to checkin_fql have exceeded the rate of 0 cals per 6000 seconds.]

My only issues thus far have to do with the haptic feedback, and vibrations on text and email.

Before, I could get one solid vibration for text, and two solid ones for emails. But now, to get a noticeable vibration, I need to turn haptic up pretty high (i'm actually not certain it vibrates at all). But then all the feedback i want to have when touching say, android keyboard, are super strong, which I don't want. Also, my soft keys don't seem to want to change w/ the haptic feedback settings either.

Thoughts or suggestions? As I know others have voiced this issue.

Also, I haven't yet tested out my ringtone settings. I will report back later today.

Just started receiving the same error.

I only use vibration for text and phone calls.. havent heard an actual ring in months.. I just listen for something rattling on a desk or feel it vibrate in my pocket.. anyhow needless to say id be pissed if I was having haptic feedback issues like alot of you.. so I have been paying extra attention to it today.. and I'm happy to say its vibrating as well as it ever has.

edit: typo

I may have miss written, but to clarify....My phone IS vibrating, but I am having to choose between having everything give me super vibrate feedback (android keyboard, certain screen touches and notifications), OR have everything calmed down to a less intense level, which sucks, because I want notifications fairly intense and keyboard and screen touches, not as intense.

Note-soft keys don't seem to be changing their intensity no matter which setting I adjust the feedback to.

I'm not positive but I think some other posters were complaining about haptic feedback issues in general or having trouble getting it to still vibrate.. I'm lucky that I havent been using different vibration levels prior so I dont know if its an issue now.. I did notice it seems to be vibrating as strong as it can though.. so maybe its set to "super vibrate" now

Wi-Fi Problems after Froyo Update

Please forgive me if I overlooked this problem in the previous pages. I looked quickly but didn't see this issue.

I updated to Froyo early this morning, and since then, I can't connect to my Wireless network in my home. It keeps bouncing back and forth from "Authenticating" to disconnected without ever connecting.

I've deleted all saved network information on the phone and started from scratch and still can't connect.

I'm not having any other issues in my house with wi-fi so I know it's not my router or network connection. I wasn't having any issues just hours before I updated so I'm assuming this has something to do with the Froyo update.

I'm still a novice when it comes to Android problems so any help would be appreciated. Heck, just hearing that someone else is having this problem would ease my pain. LOL

Any tips or tricks to try would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

Took like a hundred tries but finally got Goolge search widget uninstalled. Seems fine not. That save a lot of re installs

I manually ran the update this morning - no issues at all, everything came up cleanly the first time.

I saw that it had reordered all my apps to alpha-order (yes!!) but when I added a new app, it still stuck it at the end of my last page. How do I get the system to re-sort the icons, or at least do some sort of drag'n'drop to move the icon into the correct sort order a few pages previous?

Regards, Al

Camera Fix?

Is there a way to fix this camera issue yet? Just keeps saying "please wait..." then crashes. There was no way for me to clear the cache for it in the Manage Applications settings.

Thanks.

Oh oh, I'm experiencing really sucky battery life. I haven't even been able to use my phone much today. I have a bunch of college finals, so there aren't many chances for me to use it much for the past few hours. I'm finally able to use it. I had it charged at 100% at 7 this morning, now it's 12:00 and my battery is already down to 25%. Looks like I'm switching back to SC2.9.2.

My battery life seems to be equally bad in about the same time frame. I'm going to let it get to the bottom and then charge it all the way back up. Hopefully will be better tomorrow.

I am having the camera issue that others have reported.

One other odd thing for me is the "Superuser" application. It just locks up when I run it. Now I was lazy and didn't "unroot" before applying the update but the update seemed to install just fine (I was stock on the firmware other than having rooted my phone). After the update, I used the adb method to root my phone, which seemed to work just fine. Root is definitely working as I can give root level permission to applications like Titanium Backup and Super Manager (which I used to rename apks I didn't want to use). However the superuser app itself locks if I run it. Maybe I just need to delete it and run through the root process again....

EDIT: Turns out I was right about the Superuser application. I used a file manager to remove the old superuser.apk file then ran through the "adb method" again to root my phone again. After doing that, the superuser app doesn't lock up anymore.
