Problems with exchange after ics

I've searched different forums and cant find an answer. After updating to ics i've been having problems syncing my corporate account. If I go into accounts & sync it tells me that sync is off. Click on that it brings me to sync settings. Under sync email the box is checked. Our i t guy is only familiar with iphones. Can someone help or tell me where to look?
