Problems with froyo

Ever since I updated to froyo, I've been having a load of problems.

The first problem that arose was the "Low on space" message popping up.
It was not there before, but even after uninstalling a bunch of apps, I still cannot get rid of this message.

Next, my market app would not download updates for apps. I quickly solved this by signing into gtalk, but this soon replaced the problem with a new one. Now when I attempt to update an app, it will download the app and then fail to install.

I read around online that a possibility of not being able to install would be because of the low on space problem, but I don't know how to get rid of it.

Another thing is that my gmail app will not sync.

Any help would be appreciated! I really don't want to do a factory reset.

Thanks!

The market problem is probably because of the low space issue. How many apps do you have installed?

Go through and clear data on some of your apps (browser, maps, anything where the app data is over 1MB).

And if you haven't already, reboot. Sometimes the system needs this to clear out the low space error.

I don't have too many apps around, my internal SD card has 12.79 gigs of space left and my internal phone storage has 150 mb. I cleared some data and restarted, but my phone is still displaying the message.

I dunno what to do now.

Is this a problem that showed up imediately? I wonder if something happened while updating! If everything went as it should have, you would be left with a clean phone just like it comes out of the box so I would be tempted to run the update again and start over
Good luck!
Cheers

I know you don't want to, but I think doing a wipe might be your only option. Updates can do screwing things sometimes, but a wipe usually takes care of it.

Yeah it happened as soon as it finished updating. I have tried to update it again, but it doesn't work.

If I am to factory reset and start anew. Would there be a way to load my contacts from kies? I remember when I updated it saved my contacts. Also after I factory reset, should I immediately update it?

I'd export the contacts to your *external* SD card, if possible. That's what I've done for all my ROM flashing and how I keep my contacts out of the cloud by keeping them local.

Only thing that happened to me after update was it changed all of my ringtones and notifications to different white zombie songs, which seems very strange, But was also quite funny.

Problem with Froyo

I just downloaded Froyo for AT&T CRAPtivate and now the phone will randomly start ringing and will not stop...I have to turn ringer off until I can power off the phone. That will work for a short time then eventually it will start ringing nonstop again. HELP!?!
