Problems with Samsung Tab 2 7.0 solved with new cord

My Tab wasn't charging correctly. Battery symbol had an X thru it. Bought a new battery, but before installing it, I noticed that the cord was frayed right at the plug. Wasn't very noticeable. Replaced with an OEM cord and no more charging problems - battery symbol back to normal. Cord design seems changed to address the issue. May be a simple fix to what seemed a complicated issue.

Welcome to the forums.
Thanks for sharing. Did you keep the new battery?

Re: Problems with Samsung Tab 2 7.0 solved with new cord

If you have not installed the battery I would suggest you leave it to an expert. The videos on YouTube make it look simple but it is not made to be simple. The back is difficult to remove and requires some special tools. The important parts that can be easily damaged are only a fraction of inch inside so be car full about prying on the case with any type of tool! I hope I never have to do this a second time.
