Android Central Question

I purchased my S8+ (Emporer edition: 6GB ram) while I lived overseas in China. Now I've moved back to the United States, and my phone has lots of "tendencies".

The caller ID still tries to identify numbers according to Chinese provinces.
Samsung Pay only allows me to add Chinese banks.
etc...

There doesn't seem to be any option to change this to a US locale. My next thought is to wipe it and reinstall the Galaxy S8+'s software from a US support site. Although I'm knowledgeable about my phone's end-user features, this is a bit beyond me.

Looking for advice on how to proceed..

Have you tried factory reset? Would think you could choose region after hard reset when you set up the phone. I've flashed firmware before but not any kind of expert on it. Hopefully you won't have to flash.
Also, have you considered posting on XDA site?

What's the model number of the phone? I would start there. For example, the US unlocked model is called G955U1.
