Random screen dimming

I have a Pixel 10 pro. Same thing. But extra dim feature was removed as a toggle and moved to the brightness slider.

Are you saying that you still see your screen dimming even when changing the Colors option to Natural?

Ok, thanks for sharing that. I think that may only kick in if the screen brightness is set to 100% (which I never do -- mine is usually around 80% at the most, which is probably why I've never seen it happen). The OP mentioned originally that their brightness is set to 85%, so I think their issue was fundamentally different from what you're describing (and is also why my suggestion seems to have worked for them).

Ya I can't stand my devices if they are not on 100% brightness and battery.

Understood. I believe it's there to prevent screen damage, though, since 100% brightness for extended periods can increase the risk of burn-in.

Which what I was saying all along. But maybe the dc52ltr's issue was different.

Strangely I had this issue on my pixel 9 pro XL but not my pixel 10 pro XL.

This happened on my P8P and happens on my Pixel 10 Pro XL. But the only times I remember it happening are when using the phone outside and in direct sunlight.

In my case I believe the dimming is heat related.

It happens for me too inside. Not just outside.
