Verizon Wireless to offer Apple iPhone in January - USATODAY.com
From what I'm reading, this sounds like an LTE phone. I love the screen on the iPhone 4, but prefer everything else on the Incredible. I think I'll wait to see the Android LTE phones. With so many different hardware vendors creating Android phones, I can't see Apple having the continued success with the iPhone on Verizon unless they really re-create the thing. As many folks have pointed out, there's nothing really new or exciting about the iPhone 4.
you prefer the music player on the android? u perfer the ease of syncing music from ur computer to yur android?
i think not cuz android is FAILING on music side of the phone thats my only real gripe bout android

wow...how arrogant to think what YOU prefer should apply to everyone.
This would kill Android sales if this were true.![]()
a january release of the iphone would kill all holiday sales, which is why it won't happen.
And I don't think an iphone release on verizon would kill android sales in general. While there are some people who are buying it as a "alternative" there are a lot of people buying android for android, or now that they have it, won't be interested in the iphone anymore.

Yes, if you switch to an LTE phone/plan you cannot carry over 3g unlimited
And you know this how? How do you know Verizon won't offer the same packages they do now. I think it's too early to tell don't you?
Because one of the reasons Verizon is changing over to LTE (Besides for the increase speed) is because once in place, it is MUCH cheaper to send data so they want to use it for everything (even voice will become VOIP). But because everything is faster, it will be much easier to USE massive ammounts of data, and with sites like netflix, hulu, etc offering full HD streaming, Unlimited data is financial suicide.
Because EVERY press release from Verizon talking about LTE mentions that unlimited data is not sustainable, and that 4g will bring new tiered pricing plans.
On top of that, several other press releases state that in the future, instead of buying "plans" and "features" and doing things like add a lines, instead what you'll do is purchase a bucket of data and use it however, and on as many devices, as you'd like.
So no, it's not too soon (considering 4g will most likely launch this year/early next). I got the information by keeping tabs on press releases and interviews. They will NOT let you keep your unlimited plan and give you access to their 4g (though it might be possible to get unlimited for 3g still)
I've used 7gigs in a month before, non tethered. No issues.
4g is about planning for the future. Hulu and netflix are coming, and not everyone will use the data.
And data caps are never about the average user, they are about the power user.
Hard data caps are coming, the only question is when and what the cap will be.
